Anglo-American; Ipswich Essex County, Massachussets. Oak and pine, painted red, 1668 - 80. Attributed to Thomas Dennis. The treatment of the S-scrolls is similar to Dennis chairs and other pieces.

Anglo-American; Guilford, New Haven, Connecticut. Oak and pine, 1650-80. The treatment of the S-scrolls is very similar to other New Haven Colony furniture.

American; Connecticut River Valley. Oak and pine, circa 1700. Carving of the Hartford type. Five chests are known in this group dated 1699-1701, and two other boxes.
